Open Hearts, an Immersive Music Experience Exclusively for Apple Vision Pro
Apple has unveiled The Weeknd: Open Hearts, a groundbreaking immersive music experience showcasing the creative genius of the seven-time diamond-certified artist. Available exclusively on Apple Vision Pro for a limited time, this innovative project leverages Apple Immersive Video technology, combining ultra-high-resolution visuals and Spatial Audio for an unparalleled sensory journey.
In Open Hearts, viewers follow The Weeknd through a surreal and haunting cityscape inspired by Los Angeles’s downtown skyline, with the 180-degree media format placing fans directly in the heart of the action. Directed by Anton Tammi, the experience pushes the boundaries of music and storytelling, blending advanced technology with artistic vision.
Experience It First-Hand
Fans can enjoy The Weeknd: Open Hearts for free via the Apple TV app on Apple Vision Pro starting today. Beginning tomorrow, November 15, users can book an Apple Vision Pro demo at their local Apple Store to immerse themselves in the experience and explore the transformative potential of spatial computing.
“Apple Immersive Video brings The Weeknd’s creative vision to life in an entirely new way,” said Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of Marketing Communications. “This collaboration is a testament to how music and technology can come together to deliver unforgettable experiences for fans.”
The production team behind Open Hearts also created the music video for Hurry Up Tomorrow’s lead single, Dancing In the Flames, shot entirely on iPhone 16 Pro Max by Erik Henriksson and edited on Mac — further showcasing Apple’s creative ecosystem.
What’s Next in Apple Immersive Video
The Weeknd: Open Hearts joins Apple’s growing catalog of immersive content. On November 22, Apple will debut Concert for One, an intimate music experience featuring six-time BRIT Award winner RAYE. Filmed at Air Studios in London with her 20-piece band, this performance offers fans an up-close journey into her signature R&B, jazz, and pop fusion. A companion EP, available in Spatial Audio, will launch exclusively on Apple Music.
Following Concert for One, Apple will premiere new immersive episodes of Adventure and Wild Life in December, with further releases like Boundless, Elevated, and Red Bull: Big-Wave Surfing set for 2025.
Fans in China mainland can access select Apple Immersive Video titles through the Migu Video and Tencent Video apps, downloadable from the App Store.
Don’t miss your chance to experience The Weeknd: Open Hearts and discover the future of music storytelling through the power of Apple Vision Pro.
