An All-Star Creative Team Returns
Get ready for a night of unforgettable moments at the 97th Oscars, set to air live on March 2, 2025, on ABC! The Academy recently announced that Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, both veterans from the 96th Oscars, will lead the production as executive producers. Their combined creative expertise promises a show with stunning visuals, bold themes, and surprises that celebrate the best of cinema.
Joining them again as director is Hamish Hamilton,
who’s directed previous Oscars shows and the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Hamilton’s skilled eye has earned him 13 Emmy nominations and is sure to bring a mix of flair and elegance to Hollywood’s biggest night. Production designers Misty Buckley and Alana Billingsley are also returning after winning Emmys for last year’s Oscars, and they’re known for creating dazzling, immersive sets that bring Hollywood’s magic to life.
Adding new energy to the team,
music director Michael Bearden steps in, bringing experience from collaborations with music icons like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. He’s expected to set the tone with a carefully crafted musical selection that will heighten every moment, from red-carpet glamour to award-winning speeches.
David Chamberlin will also return to produce the Oscars Red Carpet Show,
creating a star-studded lead-in to the main event. With a team this talented, the 97th Oscars are set to be a must-watch for film fans everywhere! The event will be broadcast from the Dolby Theatre and streamed in over 200 territories, ensuring a worldwide celebration of the year’s top cinematic achievements.
Tune in on March 2 to witness this powerful creative team transform Hollywood’s most anticipated event into a night to remember!
